Cancer Program FY2021 Annual Report Released

Cancer Program FY2021 Annual Report Released

A Year in Review

It is with pleasure that we share our second Cancer Program Annual report with you.

Despite the challenges of COVID-19 in 2021, we continued our journey towards an integrated model of care delivery, while providing exemplary care to our patients. This would not have been possible without the extraordinary efforts of our health care providers, nurses, and our other clinical and support staff on the front lines.

Cancer care is often perceived solely as the treatment of cancer patients rather than care delivery along the entire cancer control continuum. At Parkland Health, we have the opportunity to look at the entire continuum from prevention and screening to survivorship. Recognition of this continuum of care is the foundation of our Cancer Program.

The opening of the Moody Outpatient Center in 2021, supported by generous contributions from our community and donors, marks a new chapter for the Cancer Program. Our new clinical space at Moody not only allows for multidisciplinary care integration and programmatic growth but also provides a better environment of care for our patients and staff.

In the Annual Report, we highlight the needs of our patients, the complexities of cancer care, the progress we have made, and our next steps to better serve our community.
