Parkland’s Patient Financial Services

One service available to patients includes financial counseling. Parkland’s Patient Financial Services is located within Parkland’s cancer clinics at Moody Outpatient Center on the 1st and 3rd floor and within the main hospital.

What is financial counseling?

Financial counselors help patients find programs to help them pay for their medical treatment, depending on their needs, through programs such as the Health Insurance Marketplace (ACA), Medicaid, Medicare, and other funding sources, like the crime victims’ fund, Parkland Financial Assistance and the Parkland Community Health Plan. Parkland has financial counselors and Medicaid staff who can guide you through the application process. Below you will find information on how to make an appointment and get connected.

Let us help you. To help figure out what programs you qualify for, your financial counselor will need information about you. Please bring items noted on our checklist: (English | Español). When you bring your paperwork, we will determine what financial assistance program you may qualify for. If you do not bring your information, you will have to pay for non-emergency care and medicines when you see a doctor.

You may be eligible for benefits that will pay all or part of your Parkland bills through one or more of the various state or federal programs. If you live in Dallas County, you may also qualify for Dallas County tax supported assistance.
