Do you have questions about cancer?

Cancer can be difficult to understand. A Cancer Answer Line resource specialist can help. Whether you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer or you just want to learn more about a cancer-related topic, such as genetic counseling, cancer prevention, or screenings, contact the Cancer Answer Line by phone at 833-722-6237, by email, or online.

The Cancer Answer Line is a UT Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center program that is available to everyone in the community. It’s available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This service is free, confidential and available in English and Spanish.

How do you find good resources?

Information about your disease or health should come from a trusted source. Some of these sources include health agencies, medical journals, hospitals, and universities. Unfortunately, there are a lot of resources available to you that can contain incorrect or harmful information.

Please remember, you can ask your health provider any questions or information about your care. The following are tips that can help you find correct information about your health. We have also provided some links for you as well.
